We have recently received message from our Indian customer.  It seems that there are FAKE 300UB5 tape edge sewing heads in the market.  As you can see in the photos, we would like to explain how to distinguish our original (genuine) CT300UB5 and other FAKE 300UB5: First of all, you can compare with pictures of FAKE 300UB5 and Original CT300UB5 and you can see, for the fake one, the C area in fake one is with bevel but in our original CT300UB5, we do not have bevel.  Also, the face plates on our original CT300UB5 are BLACK color but the fake one is white.  For the A & B on the fake one, they are also different from our original CT300UB5.  Moreover, the brand/model plates on the fake one, they are put on different positions of our original CT300UB5.  You can see the pictures to tell the differences.  (Difference of fake 300UB5, Please click the picture to enlarge the image.) For all of our original (genuine) CT300UB5, there are also following ways to distinguish original and fake ones:   For our original CT300UB5, there will be CTEC in braille on side cover.  Please see CT300UB5 Side Cover with CTEC picture for information. On most of our parts in original CT300UB5, we have our CT logo with parts number stamped on them.  You can also see circled in the pictures of our parts.
